Welcome to Garden House Nursery…
...A place where children socialise with other children, feel secure, build their confidence & independence, enjoy learning and, above all, have fun!!
At Garden House Nursery in Ipswich, Suffolk you will find one of the most forward thinking and progressive nurseries, combined with traditional good service and high quality childcare.
Established in Ipswich town centre in 1995, Garden House has continued to expand the service it offers and improve the way it is provided, through innovation and ethical practice.
At the heart of the Nursery is our ethos that we should care for children in a homely, professional environment and at the same time care for the environment itself. Helping where we can to secure a future for those children to live in. To this end we have introduced;
- ‘Reusable Nappies’ - one of the first Nurseries in East Anglia to do so! Visit www.bambinomio.co.uk for more information.
- Homemade meals & Homemade Organic Baby food provided throughout your baby's weaning process – all cooked fresh on the premises daily by our dedicated Cook.
- A full Recycling Scheme – including; food waste in our outdoor ‘Wormery’, paper, card, metals and plastics.
We offer Full and Part Time day care sessions for 0–5 year olds, Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 6:00pm, all year round. (We are closed on all public Bank Holidays in England and for our Christmas closure).
We also provide Early Years & Two-year-old Funding, during Term Time, for those children entitled to it (subject to availability).
We are a Makaton friendly nursery and in 2018 achieved MAKATON FRIENDLY status. Makaton is a language programme that uses signs whilst speaking. It is used for teaching and developing communication and language skills with children who are at an early stage of communication and language development. This structured approach can also help children who are learning English as an additional language, helping them to communicate straightaway, while also supporting their learning.

We provide parents/carers with access to TAPESTRY – online learning journal, where we record children’s individual learning and development. This gives you instant access to your child’s learning at convenient times and also aids you in supporting your child’s learning & development at home.
